The Blackmagic Intensity is a video capture device. You would be seeing your Xbox display in the preview box of FCP/premier/blackmagic media express. There is also no audio. Edit: snagged by the above poster, but since I own one, I'll just add that I don't think there is any noticeable lag. I use the Intensity to do a live video feed into Isadora for live theatre projection displays and performances. Less precise than gaming, certainly, but the actors are able to take their cues on time. (we have to use an audio interface and system to run the audio since we're doing this live).
Hey Guys, Help! I must be missing something. I have a 2010 Macbook Pro with a minidislay port.

I've for the first time, took advantage of the HDMI In on the Xbox one by using the mini display port to HDMI to the XBox HDMI in. Then of course, the Xbox one output is another HDMI to my TV. When I go to the 'TV' app, I can easily see the video only of the macbook pro screen. But no audio! When I go to settings sound on the MBP, there is no option to output to HDMI / Xbox one.
Jan 7, 2014 - I found that on Xbox 360 we can use the EasyCap to show the 360 screen on Macbook. What about Xbox one? Since they use only HDMi.
(When I skip the xbox, and go directly to the TV, I do have an option to Output sound to the LG TV. I use the MBP as a media server with movies, etc, and I'd like to be able to output sound through the Xbox and ultimately to the TV with this setup. Thanks in advance! Hey Guys, Help!
