I want to save them all at once - but 'Save all attachments' is grayed out, with no clue as to why. Details: Office for Business 2016, Windows Email. Why is “Save all attachments” greyed out on email with many attachments? Why does Outlook 2016 only check and receive message on one email account when that account is selected? In fact, all Outlook Express does is prevent access to certain types of file which can contain viruses. It does not actually look inside the file and attempt to determine whether there really is a virus.
Hi, I'm having a rather odd problem with my Outlook for Mac 2016 on O365 E3. I cant open attachments in random emails in my Inbox. I can see the email has an attachment but its greyed out and I cant open it. I can see and open the attachment via OWA, on my Tablet and on my phone but not on Outlook for Mac 2016.
There are a few emails with the same issue and it is NOT specific to a sender or an attachment type. The only thing I can recall is having a few syn errors when I had a problem with my Internet but my Sync error logs are now empty. Hi, What's the build number of your Outlook for Mac client? Does this issue happen to other users in your organization?
Do you have any other email account type configured in your Outlook? Does this issue happen to other email accounts? When this issue happens, please try forwarding the email to yourself to see if the issue persists. We can also try forwarding the emails to another email account to check the result. Hi, What's the build number of your Outlook for Mac client? Version 15.15 (151008) Does this issue happen to other users in your organization? Yes Do you have any other email account type configured in your Outlook?

No actions are available Regards, Steve Fan TechNet Community Support Situation may be resolved with all users being on Outlook for Mac 2016. Previous emails sent with attachments before upgrading to Outlook for Mac 2016 still cannot be viewed.
Version 15.21.1 (160411), El Capitan (10.11.4). The only way I've been able to solve it is to right click on the account (top level with the disclosure triangle), click Properties then click Empty Cache.
This triggers a complete refresh/download of the account (and can take some time). The only problem is that different messages fail to download the attachment. My last resort is to use Mac Mail linked to Exchange (for just to get the specific attachment) or web access. Neither is preferred.
Another frustration with this attachment-download issue is that you cannot forward or archive the message. It's stuck in your inbox unless you delete it. I tried moving several hundred messages to 'My Computer' when my account reached it's limit and found several message left behind. All had the greyed out attachment. Makes archiving really frustrating. Please fix this soon.
For me this happens when Outlook for Mac 2016 tries to download attachments using a weak internet connection. Somehow, the download fails, and Outlook is unable to re-download later when a better connection is available. So the greyed out attachments are just stuck in limbo - can't open, can't redownload.
As an emergency workaround, you can log into O365 with a browser and forward yourself the message. But that's a terrible solution. Come on Microsoft. There are multiple threads on this issue. Could you please acknowledge it's a problem and let us know you're on the case?
Last updated: Sep 15, 2017 ISSUE The Zoom setting can be found in a new email message window by selecting the Options tab and clicking the Zoom button on the Ribbon. If the zoom setting is altered on a new message, the altered setting remains until changed back.

Zoom does not change the actual font size, it simply zooms in or out on the composing window text, (impacts the composing mode window of all new messages/replies). Zoom does not affect the reading pane or received messages - those will show the actual font size. Once the setting is applied in the Outlook profile, it will retain for all future messages until it is changed in the message Options menu. This can cause a perceived smaller font if the zoom is set to less than 100%.
For example, if the zoom is set at 75%, the font of newly composed (or reply/forward) appears to be smaller, compared to the reading pane or an open received message (not in composing mode). STATUS This behavior is by design.
Please check your zoom settings if you run into this issue and adjust as appropriate. Last updated: August, 2017 ISSUE Cannot Import Apple Contacts into Outlook 2016 for mac. STATUS: Workaround.
Drag the contacts out of your Mac address book and drop onto your desktop. This creates a single.vcf file on your desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Open With Microsoft Outlook. A new contact window opens in Outlook which is the first address in your.vcf file. Click Save in the contact window. Outlook will save it, and then begins populating the rest of your contacts.
You can also drag the.vcf file directly to an Outlook contact folder. The contacts will be saved in Outlook automatically. Known issues, changed functionality, and blocked or discontinued features.
